Children’s Internet Protection Act
The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) was created to filter children's Internet access to obscene or harmful content. The act was authorized by Congress in 2000 and revised in 2011. CIPA places requirements on schools/libraries that receive government discounts for Internet access.
Hyperion provided LTE-connected Chromebooks to a school district in California, all of which had to be CIPA compliant.
