Capex, or capital expenses are the funds used by any corporation, organization or business to purchase, sustain, or improve upon fixed assets like office spaces, warehouses, transportation, equipment and more.
This year, we increased our Capex budget to allow for improvements to our current technology.
While Capex (capital expenditure) describes the money used to maintain fixed assets, Opex (operational expenditure) describes the money that funds ongoing business or organizational costs to enable the entity to run. Learn more about Opex here.
